Third with a Rocket

Amazing that this blog is number three in Google with the search term "playboy fake tits quiz".

And better yet, the search came from Denmark.
"I'm Sergey from Dallas"

Last Friday and Saturday was school weekend for me. Each course lasts three weekends and last weekend was our 'hump' weekend for managerial accounting and operations management. In the former, we delved more deeply into our case studies and activity-based costing. In the latter, we explored "just-in time" manufacturing and MRP systems. Fun stuff.

While driving to school Friday morning on St. Charles Avenue, I heard an interview on WWNO with a woman about the Balalaika and Domra Association of America's 24th annual convention in New Orleans. She had a great voice - very high pitch, very highly Russian accented. She said that for the climax of their convention, the BDAA was hosting a concert at Loyola University Saturday night. As I crossed Napolean Avenue, I thought that would be fun to go to. So on Saturday, when D and I had one of our "what do you want to do tonight" conversations, he stunned me when he agreed that the concert would be fun to go to. So we did, joined by our friend Mae-Z.

It was a blast. Do you know what a domra is? A bayan? Did you know that there are prima, sekunda, and kontrabass balalaikas? Did you know that red is the dominant color when people dress up in traditional Russian peasant attire (surprise)? Imagine listening to a 67 piece orchestra playing "When the Saints Come Marching In". That's 67 balalaikas, domras, and bayans, with a few clarinets and drums tossed in.

Can you imagine how much vodka they drank on Bourbon Street while they were here?

On another topic, the 'Where is Cory' contest ended with no winners. Email me if you want to know the answers.
